A Little About The Owner

Lexus LeMoine, owner of South Coast Canine, founded the business in 2019 and brings over 12 years of experience in dog behavior and training. A graduate of Troy University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology before continuing her education in a field she was always passionate about—working with dogs.
In 2014, Lexus attended Tarheel Canine Training where she earned her Master Trainer Certification. Her training covered a wide range of disciplines including Police Canine Training, Professional Obedience, Behavior Modification, Narcotics and Explosives Detection, Tracking and Trailing, Patrol and Apprehension, and Personal Protection Dogs.

Lexus began her journey working and training two dogs of her own: a Belgian Malinois named Bad—also known as “Rammer Jammer”—and a German Shepherd named Sloan. Both were trained in working disciplines. She also trained and competed her dogs in Protection Sport Association (PSA), an advanced level protection sport that demands a high level of control, structure, and training precision.

Over time, Lexus developed a strong passion for behavior modification, particularly with more serious and aggressive cases. With years of hands-on experience and an open mind toward learning and evolving her methods, she built a reputation for helping dogs that many owners had previously struggled with. These cases require patience, structure, and honesty about what it takes to create real change.

South Coast Canine has since grown to include boarding, daycare, and professional grooming services. As Baldwin County continues to grow, the need for well-run, structured facilities for dogs has grown with it. South Coast Canine was built to provide a safe, organized environment where dogs are properly managed and cared for.
Lexus is known for taking on difficult behavior cases and working with owners who are serious about improving their dogs—not just masking problems. She believes dogs thrive when expectations are clear, structure is consistent, and owners are willing to be part of the process. Her goal has always been simple: provide honest training, responsible dog handling, and a place where clients can trust their dogs are in capable hands.
